The Langer Group offers a wide range of educational courses throughout the year, with the aim being to share the expert knowledge that 40 years of experience at the forefront of the orthopaedic world has given us. We aim to cater for all skill and experience levels, starting with a basic course and following onto advanced courses. All of our education events are certified once the course has been complete with CPD points. The courses available are listed below.

Summer School

The Biomechanics Summer School™ forms the central core of RX Laboratories educational programme and underlines our commitment to provide the best education in clinical biomechanics. With world renowned speakers and venues, the Summer School is the ultimate conference for specialists in lower limb biomechanics. The two day event has now been given a more ‘hands-on feel’, giving the delegates the chance to put the theory they have learnt into practice, whilst also getting a chance to meet the speakers face to face.

Basic Biomechanics

The two day course aims to equip the practitioner with a basic understanding of foot and leg biomechanics and an ability to recognise fundamental foot and leg pathologies. Practical sessions will enable delegates to take a good cast and be competent in prescribing foot orthoses for the control of compensatory foot motion. These courses are available across the UK.

Advanced Biomechanics:

A two day advanced biomechanics course aimed at introducing new concepts and enforcing well established principles. Topics include foot types, dissecting the mid-tarsal joint, gait analysis and new orthoses. These courses are available across the UK.
